Description
Transform your lighting with this high-efficiency LED lamp, designed to replace 40-watt chandelier lamps in a B10 or “torpedo” shape, featuring an E12 candelabra base (E12 is a miniature screw size). This lamp is ideal for applications where dimming is not required; installation is straightforward—simply replace your existing lamp with this one.
While the lamp can be dimmed using Triac (traditional incandescent dimmers), it does not dim in the same way as incandescent lamps. Incandescent bulbs offer two distinct dimming features that LED lamps lack: firstly, incandescent lamps gradually and evenly dim from 100% to 1% light output. In contrast, this LED lamp’s dimming function is better described as providing multiple adjustable light levels, rather than a smooth dimming effect. Secondly, incandescent lamps exhibit “warm dimming,” meaning that as they are dimmed, the colour temperature warms from 2700 Kelvin to approximately 1500 Kelvin. This warm dimming effect can be particularly appealing in certain applications.
It’s worth noting that LED lamps may flicker when dimmed between light levels. To ensure optimal performance, avoid leaving lamps flickering; adjust the dimmer until flickering stops or consider replacing your dimmer with one that is compatible with LED bulbs. But even with an LED compatible dimmer flickering may still occur.
This LED lamp uses just 5 watts and produces 500 lumens at full power. In the right application, it can significantly reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs, achieving energy savings of 70-80% and a lifespan of up to 15,000 hours which is 3 to 6 times longer than the incandescent equivalent. It projects light at full power across the same 330-degree angle as incandescent chandelier lamps, making it an excellent choice for various lighting needs.
