Commonly used in corridors and other commercial and multi-residential settings, this CFL is often used in flush-mounted wall sconces and ceiling lights, as well as in recessed “pot” or “can” lights. While it delivers dependable performance, it’s important to note that this tube contains mercury, so proper handling and disposal are essential when it reaches the end of its life.

The tube requires a ballast for operation, which may also be subject to failure. With an approximate lifespan of 10,000 hours, it produces between 1200 and 1600 lumens, providing reliable illumination over time.
